SYL JAPAN’s main office is in Yokohama close to Tokyo.
SYL Japan has operational locations all over Japan in places like Ishigaki, Kagoshima, Fukuoka, Hokkaido, Wakayama, and Hiroshima; as well as other places throughout Japan’s more than 6,800 islands.
SYL Japan are the only shore side shipping agent understanding and working superyachts in all of Japan and started operation there in 2005.
The company provides a full range of agent’s services for visiting and domestic superyachts.
SYL Japan in partnership with SYL USA also works with the Japanese yacht industry, assisting captains, owners, and dealers with a gateway to the industry in the West, parts and supplies, and maritime consulting for yachts, ships and marine infrastructure in Japan.

Kenta and the SYL JAPAN team is based in YOKOHAMA where he heads up SYL JAPAN Co., Ltd. and is concerned with visiting superyachts cruising in Japan and also with Japanese private yacht clients and the management of their yachts.
Kenta has wide experience both in the corporate world and the private and commercial maritime industry, previously working with Morgan Stanley but at the same time being a keen and proficient professional sailor, competing regularly in worldwide fleet and match racing events and onboard some of the world’s most prestigious Maxi Racing Sailboats.
